Axe Throwing Rules
Etiquette
Always give the player throwing the axe plenty of room. This means at least 3 feet of clearance around the player at all times.
Wear loose fitting clothing so you can make the full range of motion for the axe throwing.
Close toe shoes are mandatory, no exceptions!
When throwing, always stay in your designated throwing box.
Indoor axe throwing is encouraged as a group activity for ages 13+ and for all skill levels, so please respect the different abilities of everyone.
The point leader throws first. The player with the next highest point is the second and so on.
Consult your Axe-pert throwing coach if you have any questions.
Be aware of your surroundings and have fun! This is something only you can control!
Axe Throwing Match Rules
Stand in the throwing box to throw the axe (about 12′-15′ from the target).
All throws must be made with 1 or 2 hands holding the axe over or behind the head.
Each player will throw the axe at the target and remove the axe for the next player.
To score, the axe must make one full rotation or more.
All scoring is based on where the majority of the axe lands on the target.
The winner will be the first player to achieve the winning point total for the game you are currently playing.
